Renowned Ghanaian gospel artist Nii Okai orchestrated a triumphant musical concert titled “Moko Be @ 20 on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
The event took place at the ICGC Zoe Temple in Tema, marking the 20th anniversary of Nii Okai’s debut album, ‘Moko Be.’ This concert proved to be a resounding success, drawing a capacity crowd that filled the entire auditorium.


Throughout the evening, Nii Okai delivered a stunning performance, presenting over 30 selections from his extensive repertoire spanning eight albums.
He was joined on stage by several artists, many of whom had been part of his team over the years, including Eugene Zuta, MOGmusic, Kofi Karikari, Naa Mercy, David Osabutey, and Nana Yaa Amihere. Together, they rendered a multilingual rendition of the classic song “Moko Be,” featuring the participation of Pastor Helen Yawson, Akesse Brempong, Philip Adzale, and Patrick Masoperh.
The concert served as a joyous celebration of Nii Okai’s enduring legacy and profound influence on the landscape of Ghanaian gospel music. Numerous esteemed artists joined him in the festivities, including Joe Mettle, Koda, Ps Isaiah, Calvis Hammond, and Lordina the Soprano.


Beyond the musical performances, the event featured special appearances by notable dignitaries, including Hon. Ntim Fordjour, Deputy Minister of Education; Rev. Ogbarmey Tetteh, Director-General of SEC; Dr. Lawrence Tetteh; Oheneyere Gifty Anti; and Ps. Andy Yawson.
