Ghanaian Highlife artist King Promise has stated that he harbors no intentions of engaging in any form of competition within the entertainment industry.

Instead, he maintains a steadfast focus on his music and his personal growth as an artist.

During an interview with the media on September 14, 2023, King Promise emphasized his commitment to delivering excellence in his musical endeavors.

He disclosed that his primary aspiration is to consistently offer his very best in every musical creation he shares with the world.

Regarding the impact of his trending song ‘Terminator’ and any potential rivalry with fellow artists, King Promise clarified his perspective. He made it clear that he views his musical journey as a personal quest for self-improvement rather than a competition with others.

He articulated this by saying, “I’ve never approached music as a challenge to outdo someone else. Never, ever. From the very beginning, my studio sessions have been driven by my passion for creating music that resonates with me. I don’t see myself in competition with anyone else; my sole focus is on pushing myself to give a full 100%.”

King Promise also expressed his ongoing commitment to raising the bar in his music career, stating, “I’m far from finished, but each time I create or release music, my goal is to surpass my previous work. You see, my next song has to surpass the last, and the big ones have to be even bigger.”

Attributing the success of his hit track ‘Terminator’ to the grace of God and the unwavering support of his fans, King Promise humbly acknowledged his gratitude towards those who have championed his music. “I believe I’m yet to make my best music yet, So I’m just excited. I’m very thankful, really and truly. You make the music and you love it, but the fans, the people, they make it what it becomes. It’s not up to me. It’s the grace of God and the people. So I’m just thankful, man,” said King Promise.
