Ghanaian filmmaker McListowel Koranteng has achieved a remarkable success.
His debut film, “The Curfew,” gained recognition by five major international airlines and secured a streaming deal with Amazon Prime.
Taking a significant leap, he has been accepted into one of the world’s premier film institutions, the National Film and Television School (NFTS), in the UK.
This institution boasts a mere 3% acceptance rate and is situated at Beaconsfield studios, close to the heart of the UK’s entertainment scene.
NFTS holds prestigious status, having nurtured numerous eminent figures in the film industry, such as Roger Deakins, an Oscar-winning cinematographer for “1917,” and Laurie Nunn, the creator of Netflix’s “Sex Education.”
With an impressive record of 14 Oscars and 146 BAFTAs, NFTS made history in 2013 as the first film school to secure three major international film and TV school awards.
McListowel’s journey is an inspiration, showcasing that talent, diligence, and a pursuit of excellence can propel one to great heights.
Meanwhile, Owusu Sekyere, the Ahafo regional chairman of the NPP, praised the current IGP, describing him as the best the country has had in many years.
