A 30-year-old man has been lynched at Asuogya, a suburb of Nkawkaw in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern region for kidnapping a woman and her two children.

An eyewitness known as Osagyefo narrating the incident to Agoo FM said the suspect met the woman and her two children who were having difficulties in locating one ‘’Rev Obofour’’ in the area.

According to him, in the course of the discussion, the suspect attempted to kidnap the woman and her children but one of the children managed to free herself and escaped.

The 30-year-old suspect, however, kidnapped the woman and the other child. The other child who escaped called for help until two men came to her rescue. The child led the men to rescue her mother and her other sibling.

The suspect was subsequently arrested and handed over to the police.

Another eyewitness also told Agoo FM’ Ebenezer Kojo Nyavor, that the suspect threatened to kill the woman and her child if they called for help.

The Nkawkaw Divisional Police Commander ACP Andrews Esuman, when contacted assured police team, will be deployed to commence investigations into the incident.
