Renowned Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei, recently shared valuable life advice, urging people to embrace the power of saying “NO” and standing by it.
The actor, celebrated for his roles in various films, underscored the significance of safeguarding one’s well-being and not allowing others to cause frustration.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Osei emphasised that individuals should not feel compelled to please everyone around them. He stressed the importance of preserving energy and mental health by establishing boundaries.
Osei suggested that it’s acceptable to distance oneself from individuals who do not positively contribute to one’s life or align with their energy. The actor’s straightforward counsel promotes the idea of prioritising self-care and cultivating a healthy environment.
“People will frustrate you if you allow them to learn to say NO and mean it!! You didn’t come into this world to make everyone happy. If they don’t sum up your energy, politely tell them to f*ck off! Have a blessed day, family,” he said.
Prince David Osei’s remarks come in the midst of increasing appeals for celebrities to prioritise their mental well-being. Prominent figures such as Efya, Kuami Eugene, and Funny Face have openly discussed the challenges and pressures experienced by celebrities in Ghana.
