Kofi Sarpong receives honorary doctorate in Jerusalem

Gospel musician, Chief Superintendent Kofi Sarpong has been honoured with a Legendary and Doctors Award in Jerusalem.

The prestigious award was conferred on him during the maiden edition launch of Comfort Drusilla Adu Life Change Ministries International (CDALCMI) in conjunction with Oneida University in Israel.

Comfort Drusilla Adu Life Change Ministries International (CDALCMI) Comfort Adu accompany by other dignitaries from Oneida University and CELCII.

The citation that came with a beautifully crafted plaque reads; STAR OF DAVID AWARD.

“You, a kind of David, Celebrity, Compassionate and a Lover of God, a Musician Fighter(Security)for your generation, through tough times, however, by the grace of God coupled with a dint of hard work you have weathered the storm.

You have become an icon of hope and a role model for your generation. For your Immense Achievements in Christian Ministry and the Public sector, for your selfless devotion and dedication to your calling.

For the huge impact made in the lives of people in Ghana and beyond, the organization proudly confers on you on the occasion of our Maiden Launch of CDALCMI this day, Sunday 15th September, 2019 here in Jerusalem, Israel: LEGENDARY AWARD AND DOCTOR IN LEADERSHIP.

Chief Superintendent Kofi Sarpong released his first album ‘Sacrifice’ in 2012 and this brought him into the limelight. He also has songs like ‘African Borborbor,’ ‘Adom Bi,’ ‘Abotre,’ ‘Agyenkwa’ and ‘Aseda.’

He has won many awards in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Ghana Music Awards UK and other internationally recognised award schemes.

The Celebrated gospel music icon will return to Ghana on Tuesday to prepare for his incoming 10th-anniversary gospel concert on 24th November 2019 at the National Theatre.
