The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central constituency, Kennedy Agyapong, has rendered unqualified apologies to the wife and family of the Majority Leader of parliament.

His decision to eat a humble pie comes after he (Agyapong) allegedly rained insults on Hon. Kyei Mensah Bonsu, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame.

Kennedy Agyapong, considered one of the most controversial politicians in the country, become the subject of public scrutiny after it emerged that he had verbally attacked the majority leader, some few days ago.

And from his recent public narrations, the Kennedy Agyapong seemed to have recognized his guilt and decided to do the honourable thing by rendering unqualified apologies to the majority leader and his family.

“I have apologized to the wife of Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu over my public outburst recently. I was extremely angry that day and so I could not control my emotions and that was why I uttered those words; and I am sorry”, he said.

Agyapong added “The majority leader and his wife are my friends, so when I erred, I decided to apologize to them in private and I want to repeat my apologies on the airwaves on Oman FM today for the public to hear”.

Sounding apologetic, he said “The honourable majority leader in parliament is my brother and I am very sorry for what happened. It will never happen again”, adding that extreme anger made him to utter those words.

He, however, insisted that his video, dubbed ‘Who Watches the Watchman’, would be sown to the public on Wednesday evening at the forecourt of Oman FM, to expose some of the alleged bad deeds of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
