John Boadu reports Gabby’s ‘obscene conduct’ to Akufo-Addo

The unquenchable desire of New Patriotic Party’s stalwart Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko and his associates to seize control of the ruling party’s communications from Yaw Adomako Baafi was ‘abruptly halted’ by John Boadu, asempanews.com has gathered.

Asempanews.com is gathering from party insiders that there were clandestine moves by certain individuals, particularly Gabby to bastardise and demonise the communications director’s efforts at disseminating information of the party hence the need for him to be replaced.

Our intelligence reveals that Gabby’s decision to engage the public on the subject on his Facebook wall was consciously done to prepare the grounds to incite the rank and file of the party against Adomako Baafi.

Gabby, whose family links with the president has been made a ‘tin god’ in the party, unexpectedly congratulated Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, on his appointment as the party’s communications director.

The nephew of the president posted: “Congrats to Yaw Buabeng Asamoah on your appointment as the new Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party.

Chaos In NPP: Adomako Baafi Fired As Communications Director

“Clearly, there was a huge leadership vacuum in the ruling party’s communication machinery, and we are all happy to hear that Chairman Blay, General John Boadu and the team have acted accordingly.”

Report corroborated by non-executive, but influential members of the party says Gabby’s covert attempt to cause the removal of industrious Adomako Baafi irked acting General Secretary of the party, John Boadu who immediately reported Gabby’s conduct to party bigwigs.

It is roundly believed that John Boadu after giving Gabby a telling-off in a telephone conversation reported his conduct to President Akufo-Addo.

“John was highly upset about the incident so he called Gabby to lambast him on the phone. He went further to report his conduct to the president and he has promised to take up the matter. There was no such decision to dismiss Adomako Baafi.

“Gabby was just whipping up public sentiment against Adomako Baafi but it has been shot down completely. We are not going to entertain such conduct and posturing in the party,” our source stressed.

Our source further challenged Buabeng Asamoah to speak to the issue if he has certainly been appointed to take over from Adomako Baafi.

It would be recalled that after Gabby’s post on Facebook, Adomako Baafi issued a statement to deny the report, insisting that no such statement has been brought to his attention.

He added that he was appointed through a process as such expects the same process to be followed to dismiss him.

“I have not been sacked as a National Communications Director of the party and if the party wants to sack me, it has to be written to the Steering Committee and also the National Executive Council before I can be sacked.

“This publication is a plot to tarnish my political fortunes, but this publication will not work, I’m still at post working hard for the party and the President Akufo-Addo led administration”, the statement affirmed.
