Husband of former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur, Lawyer Tony Lithur has disclosed that he has never raised his hand on his wife in the over 20 years of their marriage life, contrary to what his wife is saying about him.
MyNewsGH.com who broke news of the divorce learnt from the docket copy making rounds on social media that Nana Oye Lithur has told most the family friends they have that her husband is a wife-beater.
Indeed, when MyNewsGH.com broke news of the divorce, many social media users felt Nana Oye Lithur might have had enough of the beatings from the husband and she should be happy he is calling it quits.
But it is now emerging that Mr Lithur has never raised his hand against Nana Oye Lithur, but on the country, the Human rights campaigner is rather abuse him at home at the least chance.
“When the parties settled down to marriage, petitioner began to notice some unnerving character traits of the Respondent. While petitioner was aware Respondent was aggressive in approach to many things, nothing prepared him for what he later discovered of cruel and instinctively violent traits. She consistently exhibited physical violence and cruelty against every person that has ever lived with the parties, either as household staff or relative,â€
Tony Lithur also alleged that Madam Nana Oye Lithur cheats on him and has multiple sexual partners and she does not attend to her marital duties. He explained that she is consumed with her public life than to attend to her home affairs and contributes nearly zero to the home.
He is requesting the court to not only divorce the marriage but also to ensure she does not get any of his properties because she did not contribute in any way to acquiring them.
