Ghana international, Alexander Djiku will not feature for Racing Strasbourg this weekend when the team takes on Olympique de Marseille.

The highly-rated centre-back started for his team last Sunday in the 2-2 draw against Toulouse.

Unfortunately, he suffered an injury in the second half and had to be replaced as a precautionary measure.

Subsequently, on Monday, an ultrasound revealed that Alexander Djiku has a small muscle and tendon problem in the hamstrings.

On Tuesday, he had an MRI in the evening which revealed that there is no cause for worry.

Nonetheless, the centre-back has not been included in the Strasbourg matchday squad for Olympique Marseille.

This according to sources is because Alexander Djiku is yet to train fully with his teammates at Strasbourg.

It is understood that he should be fully recovered next week.

The encounter between Racing Strasbourg and Marseille will be played on Saturday at 7pm.
