Head Pastor of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Dr Mensa Otabil has made a prophetic declaration of an emerging new Africa that will take the world by storm.

“..Where there has been shame in Africa, honour is coming. Where there has been poverty, prosperity is coming. Africa’s story will not be forward and backward. From today it will be forward and forward. Great growth…” he said to a multitude of Christians and members of the ICGC who converged at the Independence Square Monday, to begin a five-day Greater Works Conference.

Akin to the independence struggle in Africa, Pastor Otabil said Ghana, will lead this new African renaissance with consistent progress and prosperity in political, technological and agricultural advancement which will then sweep across the entire region of Africa.

He said the time is coming in Africa when change in political power will not be because the previous government failed but only because the party seeking the mandate from the people has superior ideas to add on to the success of the previous government.

“Ghana as the first sub-Saharan country to gain independence from British colonial rule and our first president spoke on the eve of our independence; he linked the independence of Ghana to the rest of Africa.

“In other words what happens in Ghana will impact the rest of Africa. In the year that Ghana got independent in 1957 only a couple of countries got independence. In 1958 everybody got independent. Almost all the French countries…” he said.

“Tonight at this place we change the destiny of Ghana and of Africa,” he declared.

The pastor had seen a divine shift in the heavenly realm with the God of host and His army of angels ready to shape the destiny of Ghana and Africa.

The opening of the Greater Works conference marked the official end to the 40-days of fasting and prayers declared by the ICGC worldwide.

Dubbed 40-Days of Power, members of the church sought the face of God for His grace, protection and prosperity for individuals, families, the church, companies, Ghana and Africa.

After such a profound spiritual exercise, Pastor Otabil said the time has come for God to supply every need brought before Him during the period of fasting and prayers.

Quoting Genesis 28:10-22, the founder of the ICGC said God will not leave until he has fulfilled his promises to those who took part in this long spiritual journey.

The Greater Works Conference continues Tuesday to Friday at the Independence Square with seasoned men of God- Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, Bishop Tudor Bismark, and Mike Okonkwo all ministering and what will be four nights of power, miracle and breakthrough from 5:00pm to 9:00pm each night.
