George Afriyie’s PRO dismisses $24,600 fraud

Spokesman for George Afriyie, Jeffery Asare has quashed reports making rounds that the former FA-vice has defrauded Eleven Wonders a sum of $24,600 meant to purchase a team bus.

Reports went rife on Tuesday that the Liberty Professionals Director has bolted with their cash after assuring the Premier League newcomers he could lead them to purchase a bus from Japan.

The club’s Financial Secretary, Yaw Owusu Ameyaw claimed that attempts to either retrieve their money or receive the purchase vehicle have yielded no fruits.

However during an interview with Sunyani-based Akonoba FM, Mr. Afriyie’s scribe, Jeffery Asare has vehemently refuted the reports and boasted that the said amount is a peanut for his client considering the cars in his garage.

“George Afriyie has seven (7) cars and none can be bought by even $24,000,” Asare told Akonoba FM.

“This is not going to create any enmity between George Afriyie and Techiman Eleven Wonders.”

“I know Nana nor Takyi Arhin (Thunder) will not do what Yaw Ameyaw has done.”

It’s unclear the next line of action he will take after being dragged into the credibility trap-net.

Mr. Afriyie is currently out of the country on a business trip.
