The Tema based rapper Kwesi Arthur on Focus on Africa BBC said that Drake made him to start writing music.

“My dad used to play music in the house. But I started listening to Drake and that’s what made me to feel like I can write music. So, Drake made me to start writing music. He was talking about his life so why not go into it and write about myself so that’s how it started” he said

According to the artiste his song “grind day” talks about how we work every day trying to survive. He further went on to say that social media has played a vital role in promoting his songs

“The people who like my music upload it on their twitter and Instagram page and we have this platform “ground up chaley” where we mostly upload our video and when people like it they share it” he added

The artiste further went to say that his songs are about his lifestyle and it will help motivate those that might be facing the same situation which he went through while growing up, that they shouldn’t look at their situation but they can make it.
