Old students of the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School in Accra have vowed to resist attempts by some unseen hands to “free’ two suspects with one established to be a guard at the presidency who have been arrested for rape and robbery by the Legon Police.

The Police say the two were arrested in connection with series of robberies at East Legon last weekend in which they allegedly robbed and raped their victims, including a 75-year-old woman.

Issah Muniru, one of the robbers had a Flagstaff House Identification Number FSH/TEMP/18/134 and is stationed with the operations team with the ceremonial gate at the presidency being his duty post.

MyNewsGh.com established that the victim is a former English Tutor of Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School which saw some of them as well as close friends and relatives of the family visit to commiserate with her on hearing the news.

The old students expressed grave disappointment at the turn of events and the attempts by the some ‘powerful hands’ to conceal the crime and have cautioned the security agencies not to try any cover-ups or risk incurring their wrath.

Meanwhile, our check indicates that the government of President Akufo-Addo has already taken serious consideration of security breaches that have become one too many under the current dispensation.

MyNewsGh.com has been shown some evidence that government has commissioned an undertaking of rigorous background checks of all casual and permanently employed personnel recruited from the party pool into government, particularly the seat of government, Jubilee House as part of measures to address such developments.
