Diana Asamoah, Kofi Kinata other celebrities spotted at Theresa Kufuor’s funeral

The final funeral rites of the late Theresa Kufuor, wife of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, saw several celebrities attend to offer their sympathies.

Renowned gospel musician Diana Asamoah, dressed in black funeral attire with a purse and spectacles, looked striking despite her sorrowful expression.

Celebrated highlife musician Martin King Arthur, popularly known as Kofi Kinaata, was also present in his black outfit, accompanied by unidentified individuals.

These two celebrities, along with various personalities, joined the gathering to shake hands with the widower, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, expressing condolences during this tragic time.

A state funeral for the late former First Lady Theresa Kufuor took place at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra on November 16, 2023. The event commenced with a file past at 7 a.m., followed by a burial mass at 9 a.m.

Final funeral rites for the former First Lady were scheduled at Heroes Park in Kumasi on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Theresa Kufuor passed away at her home in Peduase, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, October 1, at the age of 87.

The funeral saw the presence of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the First Lady, Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, politicians, New Patriotic Party members, and family and friends of the late former First Lady, all expressing condolences to the grieving family.
