2 mins readActress Martha Ankomah has reportedly rejected Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah's, also known as LilWin's, public apology in the GH¢5 million defamation lawsuit currently before the High Court.According to EIB Network’s Legal Affairs Correspondent, Murtala Inusah, the actress felt the apology did not meet the standards of a proper retraction and sincere apology.

As discussions to resolve the matter out of court continue, it is likely that a new and acceptable public apology will be issued.The High Court in Accra has adjourned the case to February 25, 2025, to allow both parties to finalise the terms of their settlement.The case was held in private on Friday, December 13, 2024, and lasted nearly three hours as the parties and their lawyers worked on an amicable resolution.

Compensatory damages for the damage done to the reputation of the plaintiff.“Aggravated damages for the reckless and malicious publication of the defamatory words.
