John Ansah has been elected as the new President of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) after winning the election on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

Ansah won by a large margin, receiving 95 votes, while his closest rival, Isaac Wilberforce Koomson, got 35 votes.

He will take over from Kudjoe Fianoo, who stepped down after serving for many years.

After his victory, Ansah shared his plans for GHALCA, highlighting three key areas he will focus on during his leadership.

Meanwhile, Phyllis Marku defeated Nana Amankwaa Kwakye to retain her position as the vice chairperson of GHALCA.

The election saw participation from 134 members, including 36 from the Premier League, 48 from Division One, 30 from Regional Football Associations (RFAs), and 20 from the Women’s Premier League.
