Head coach Fabian Hurzeler, following the 24-year-old's extension, shared his ecstasy over Tariq Lamptey's extended stay with the club.

“We’re delighted Tariq is staying with us. He wants to help the team achieve our targets and gives us great options in a wide area.

We are looking forward to Tariq being part of our journey next season,” Hurzeler stated during a news conference on Monday, June 9.

The club initially announced Tariq's extension in an official statement today, Monday, June 9. He will stay until June 2026.

Tariq would have become a free agent; however, an extension was handed to him along with other players such as Jamie Mullins and Abdallah Sims.

Jamie Mullins joined Brighton & Hove Albion on January 4, 2023, from Bohemians in a 2-year contract set to expire on June 30, 2025.

Abdallah Sima, on the other hand, joined Brighton & Hove Albion on August 31, 2021, from Slavia Prague. He was on a loan at Stade Brestois in France but will remain at Brighton following his return from loan.
