With only five minutes remaining in the match, Antoine Joujou sent a cross into the box.

As the Marseille goalkeeper rushed out, Ayew expertly headed the ball over him into the net.Out of respect for his former team, Ayew chose not to celebrate his goal. This goal was his first of the 2024/25 league season. Two minutes before the final whistle, Le Havre's coach, Didier Digard, substituted Ayew, allowing him to be honored with another standing ovation from the fans at Stade Vélodrome.
