Ghana international Tariq Lamptey is likely to leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, as his contract nears expiration and no extension talks are currently underway.

He is again anticipated to miss their final game of the season against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday due to an injury.

Since joining the Seagulls, Tariq has suffered several injuries.

3

Tariq joined the Seagulls in 2020 on a four-year contract and has become a key figure for the side, but he has had limited play time due to injury setbacks.

4

Just months after joining the club, he recorded his first injury (hamstring) at Brighton in a match against Everton on October 4, 2020, an injury in October 2020.

5

This sidelined him for 14 days, causing him to miss five matches.

6

The Ghanaian full-back has endured an injury-hit season, making just 15 appearances in the 2024/2025 Premier League season, where he scored two goals and provided two assists. He has made 20 appearances so far across all competitions, notching 5 goals for the Seagulls.

7

In January, Lamptey came close to joining Dutch giants Ajax, but the proposed move ultimately collapsed.

8

With his contract nearing its end and no renewal in sight, the 23-year-old could be on the move when the transfer window opens in June.
