Ross Barkley has joined newly promoted Premier League team Luton Town on a free transfer, after being released by Ligue 1 side Nice.
The Hatters have snapped up the former Chelsea man ahead of their Premier League opener against Brighton this weekend on a free transfer. The length of his contract hasn't been disclosed.
On joining the club, Barkley said: “Why Luton? Going from the Conference to the Premier League is a great story, and for me personally, being back in the Premier League, is great motivation.
"I’m still relatively young, and over the last couple of years, I’ve not played as much as I’d have liked. But I’ve reserved a lot of energy and looked after myself, so it’s great to be here now as I’ve got a lot to show, but I’m ready and feeling motivated.”
Luton Town has secured the services of the former Chelsea player just in time for their Premier League debut against Brighton this upcoming weekend.
