Endrick has given a strong clue about his future at Real Madrid, admitting he is worried about not making Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.
The young forward has faced challenges in his first season at Madrid, struggling to get regular playing time under coach Carlo Ancelotti. So far in the 2024-25 campaign, he has scored six goals in 28 appearances across all competitions but has yet to start a La Liga match.
His limited minutes even led Brazil coach Dorival Junior to leave him out of the initial squad for the ongoing World Cup qualifiers. However, he was later called up after Neymar withdrew due to injury.
Now, the 18-year-old has spoken about his situation at Madrid and his concerns about missing out on Brazil’s World Cup squad in 2026.
Speaking in an interview with Brazil legend Romario, he said: "To be honest, what goes through my head a lot is that I’m afraid of not being at the 2026 World Cup. I’m worried… because it’s my dream to be at World Cup. It’s even difficult to speak about that. I want go help Brazil to win the sixth World Cup."
Following their 2-1 victory against Colombia last week, the five-time world champions are now preparing for a big showdown against their rivals, Argentina, in an important 2026 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
