Mauricio Pochettino asserts that he is embarking on a remarkable journey with Chelsea, expressing this sentiment following his inaugural Premier League match in charge. The game ended in a 1-1 draw against Liverpool.

Although the home team initially conceded a goal at Stamford Bridge, Axel Disasi managed to equalise for Chelsea on his debut, securing them a point from their first match of the season.

When asked by the BBC's Match of the Day whether a draw was a fair result, Pochettino replied: 'I don't believe it is. I think we deserved a little bit more overall.

"We feel pleased, but at the same time disappointed because we wanted to win and we deserved to win, but it is only the beginning.

We've established an excellent working approach here, which holds significant importance. It revolves around belief, diligent effort, and mutual trust. The connection we've forged from the very beginning has been exceptional.

'The fans were always with us. Even in the difficult moments they were there, they never gave up and always believed in the team, and the team felt the energy from the crowd.
