Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus has been one of the most talked-about players in this transfer window.
The 24-year-old is currently being sought after by both European and Saudi clubs; however, it is reported that Kudus wants to play for a European club.
Among the prominent English clubs, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur appear to be the front-runners in the race for the forward
According to reports from SkySportsNews, Kudus is interested in the Spurs over the Blues.
Despite the rejection, Kudus is said to be unwilling to entertain offers from other suitors, including Chelsea, until a deal with Spurs is either agreed or falls through.
West Ham are holding out for a higher fee, but Kudus is reportedly eager to make the move in order to play European football.
Agreeing on Mohammed Kudus's salary and contract with Tottenham (Spurs) is not expected to be a problem if both clubs agree on the transfer.
The Ghana international winger was expected to stay with West Ham until 2028, with an option to extend the deal by an additional year.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Arsenal are also keeping tabs on Kudus’ situation, despite his current preference for a move to North London rivals Spurs.
Despite concerns about his inconsistencies in the last campaign, Kudus impressed in his debut Premier League season, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists across all competitions.
During the 2024/25 season, Mohammed Kudus participated in three major competitions for West Ham United: the English Premier League, the FA Cup, and the EFL Cup (Carabao Cup).
In the Premier League, he made 32 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists. He featured once in the FA Cup but didn’t register a goal or assist. In the EFL Cup, he played twice and provided 1 assist without scoring.
Overall, across all competitions, Kudus made 35 appearances, scored 5 goals, and contributed 4 assists.
