Mohammed Kudus emerged as the standout performer for West Ham United despite their crushing 5-0 loss to Chelsea on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

The Ghanaian midfielder delivered a stellar performance, showcasing his prowess by completing an impressive 14 dribbles throughout the match.

This achievement not only marked a standout moment for Kudus but also made him the first player in the Premier League this season to achieve such a feat.

According to football data source OptaJoe, Kudus's exceptional display extends beyond just dribbling. He also secured the title of the player with the most successful dribbles in a single match across Europe's top five leagues in the 2023/2024 campaign.

Furthermore, he dominated in duels, emerging victorious in 22 out of 28 encounters, and drew five fouls, earning him the title of the most fouled player in the game.

Despite not directly contributing to goals, Kudus's impact didn't go unnoticed. He garnered an impressive 8.8 FotMob rating, the highest among his West Ham teammates and the third-highest in the match overall, trailing only Nicholas Jackson and Noni Madueke.

However, despite Kudus's standout performance, West Ham's defeat has placed them in a precarious position on the league table.

Currently sitting in 9th place with 49 points, they are at risk of missing out on European football next season, trailing 7 points behind the Europa League qualification spot.
