1 min readOwner of Young Apostles FC, Samuel Anim Addo, has been accused of misconduct by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following his statements against the body.In a statement released on January 9, 2024, the GFA explained that Anim Addo's comments violated specific regulations outlined in Articles 34(6)(d) and 38(8)(c) of the league's rules.

The association stated that these allegations harmed their reputation, and as a result, they have asked Anim Addo to provide evidence to support his claims."Samuel Anim Addo has been charged with breach of Articles 34(6)(d) and 38(8)(c) of the GFA Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2019, following his commentary on his social media account on X.<img src="

/>"It is alleged that his commentary in the said post constitutes misconduct, which brings the name of the Ghana Premier League into disrepute. It is further alleged that part of his commentary involved accusations against a match official without proof. He has until Monday, January 13, 2024, to respond to the charges," the statement read.

The charges follow Anim Addo's claim that GFA officials threatened to relegate his club if he continued to criticize refereeing.He explained that the threats came after he criticized Referee Maxwell Hanson's poor officiating during the Accra Lions' match against Dreams FC, which sparked controversy.
