It is said that the Catalan giants have already started talks with Partey's camp over a free transfer this summer, as Partey's future at Emirates remains uncertain.

1

With what is being described as complex and slow-moving talks currently underway concerning Partey's stay with Arsenal, sources say boss Hansi Flick is a big admirer of the ex-Atletico Madrid star.

2

Partey is also seen as a cut-price fix for Barcelona’s engine room as they are still grappling with Financial Fair Play restrictions, but they love the idea of securing a top-tier player on a free transfer.

3

Partey, 31, who joined is out of contract at the end of June but has yet to agree a new deal with Arsenal despite Mikel Arteta publicly confirming he would like to keep him.

4

Given the midfielder's stunning form in the games played in the 2024/2025 season, Barcelona is looking to bolster its midfield muscle without breaking the bank.

5

Thomas Partey, who joined Arsenal on October 5, 2020, in a £45 million transfer from Atlético Madrid, has been with the club for nearly five years.

6

His stint has been plagued by injury however, he makes a stunning display after his injury returns.

7

Sunsport has reported that the Ghanaian international enjoys his stay in London as he's built his family there and has a good relationship with Arteta, who has publicly expressed his desire for Partey to continue his stay with the North London giants.

8

Partey also recently welcomed a new baby, and with his family settled in London, he would love the continuity.

One source close to the player told SunSport: “Thomas respects Arsenal massively and loves living in London, but he also knows his worth and wants a deal that reflects his standing at the club.”

11

Meanwhile, Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey and his family waved at fans after Arsenal's 1-0 win against Newcastle United on May 18 at the Emirates Stadium. This was after Declan Rice found the back of the net in the 55th minute, securing a crucial win over Newcastle that cemented their second spot in the Premier League table, booking qualification to the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League.

12

After the game, players shared moments with fans as it was their last home game.
