Former Inter star Mario Balotelli has shared his thoughts on Jose Mourinho being replaced by Daniele De Rossi at Roma.
Balotelli, who played under Mourinho during the early stages of his career at Inter, believes that De Rossi will excel as a coach at Roma.
He stated that a change in management always brings a fresh wave of "enthusiasm" to the dressing room.
Speaking to TVPlay, the Adana Demirspor striker said: "I believe that the change of coach always brings enthusiasm to the team; then it must be said that Roma played three easy games. I think De Rossi can do well as a coach; I was convinced that he would have this type of career."
Since De Rossi took over from Mourinho, there has been a noticeable improvement at Giallorossi.
Under the Italian's leadership, the Serie A team has secured victories in all of their last three games, propelling them to fifth place in the league standings.
Mourinho's dismissal came in January following a 3-1 defeat to AC Milan, which left Roma struggling in ninth place.
Roma's next match will be against league leaders Inter on Saturday in a crucial Serie A encounter. Inter currently lead the table with 57 points, a significant 19 points ahead of Roma.
