The Spanish giants are aiming to bounce back after a 3-0 defeat in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite the uphill task, Bellingham is optimistic that Real Madrid can turn things around at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and create another memorable night in the club’s rich European history.

“I’ve heard it a million times since last week, I’ve seen a million videos – it’s really motivating stuff,” the England international told a media conference on Tuesday.
3
“It’s a night that’s made for Real Madrid.
4
“A night that would go down in history but also something that people are familiar with around this part of this world. Hopefully we can add another special night.”

Real Madrid have previously faced a three-goal deficit in five European knockout ties. They only managed to overturn such a gap once—in the 1975-76 European Cup—when they came back from a 4-1 loss to Derby County with a 5-1 win at home, going through 6-5 on aggregate.

However, the club has never completed such a comeback in the modern Champions League format. Still, Bellingham believes Wednesday’s match offers a unique opportunity.
8
“There’s not a lot you can do for Real Madrid in the Champions League that hasn’t already been done,” the 21-year-old said.
9
“Tomorrow is an opportunity for us to do something for the first time, so that’s really important to us.”

He also spoke about his England teammate Declan Rice, who scored twice from free-kicks in Arsenal’s dominant first-leg performance—despite never having done so before in a professional match.
11
“The free-kicks were surprising,” he said. “I knew Declan could take set-pieces well, corners and stuff, but I’d never seen him do that. Fair play to him.”
