In response to the controversy, Professor Kofi Agyekum, a renowned linguist known as Opanyin Agyekum, questioned the criticism, asking, "What defines Gospel music?"

He asserts that there is nothing wrong with the Reverend Father's action, asserting the song contains impactful lyrics.

"I don't see anything wrong with the lyrics. The impact is there, why should the Reverend Father apologise," Opanyin Agyekum stated.

Kwame Sefa Kayi the host of the show also asserted even ArchBishop Palmer Buckle sings Bob Marley's redemption song asserting there is nothing wrong with Reverend Fathers singing meaningful songs.
