Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, is impressed with work done so far involving the construction of the Aveyime-Agbetikpo-Tokpo road.
The construction is being fully funded by Mawums Construction Company Limited. The roads damaged by flood waters are creating considerable transportation and logistical challenges as such the need for construction works.
On Sunday, October 29, Mr Ablakwa inspected progress on work being done after the sod cutting ceremony four days ago.
"I am really impressed with the pace and quality of work," he stated in a post on X today, October 30.
"Instructively, this is a strategic road leading to Asutsuare which is a major agricultural hub. I highly commend Mawums Construction Company Limited for the great job, and also for being ahead of schedule despite working gratis. In this together, rising together," he added.

Since the initiation of the spillage process on September 15, the Volta River Authority has been releasing excess water due to the elevated water levels in the Akosombo and Kpong hydro dams. However, in the subsequent weeks, many residents along the Lower Volta Basin have witnessed their homes and farmlands submerged by the resulting floods.
This intentional spillage has severely impacted several districts, including South, Central, and North Tongu in the Volta Region.
Communities like Battor, Tefle, Mepe, Sogakope, Adidome, and Anlo have been inundated.
The consequences for the affected individuals have been significant, with over 26,000 people displaced and rendered homeless, according to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NaDMO).
