In response to a viral video depicting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Tema General Hospital struggle with power cuts on Tuesday night, where a nurse highlighted the threat posed to incubated babies' lives, Nelson criticized the government, labelling the country's leaders as "wicked.

”Rapper Sarkodie also weighed in, attributing the situation to government misprioritization and expressing concern for the affected infants.Tragically, the power outage reportedly led to the death of a newborn, according to Ramatu, a 24-year-old mother who recounted her devastating loss on TV3.

“I was supposed to go and visit my baby around 4 am this morning [Wednesday] so when I went there, I could not find my baby and the doctor told me to wait outside so I was outside and he came that they are sorry because I have lost my child due to the light out last night [Tuesday Night],” she told TV3’s Joseph Armstrong Gold Alorgbey.
