Dumelo family is mourning the passing of Engineer John William Kudzo Anato-Dumelo Snr., the father of Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo. He was 75 years old and leaves behind a legacy of love and care for his family.

In a touching post on social media, Dumelo’s wife expressed her sorrow, reflecting on the timing of her father-in-law’s death, which happened to fall on her birthday.

“Daddy why now? Why did you choose my birthday? Why didn’t you wait for Koo’s inauguration? Why? Why? Why? Why???????😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭,” she wrote, expressing her sorrow.

John Dumelo wrote a heartfelt tribute, remembering his final moments with his father. He shared that just hours before the sad news, they had a conversation about politics, life, farming, and business.

His father also gave him advice for his upcoming swearing-in ceremony. Sadly, shortly after their talk, Dumelo received the news that his father had stopped responding.

Despite rushing him to the hospital, he passed away.

“My best friend. My number one cheerleader. My pillar of support. You’ve left a void no one can fill. Rest well, Daddy,” Dumelo shared in his tribute, expressing gratitude for the role his father played in his life.

John Dumelo also honored his father’s memory and reflected on the loss of his mother.
