The Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament, John Dumelo, has shared his sentiments on his late father’s funeral, emphasizing that the ceremony was conducted exactly as his father had wished.
Speaking after the burial in an interview with GhanaWeb's Issac Dadzie Dumelo, revealed that his father had always desired a modest and quiet farewell, a wish the family ensured was honored.
"My father has always wanted a very low, quiet funeral, and I think that was what we gave him today. Everything worked as planned. The weather was good, his friends, family, as well as my friends and family, came, so that is exactly how he wanted it," Dumelo stated.
The event, though simple, was attended by close relatives, friends, and associates who came to pay their last respects.
Mr Dumelo expressed gratitude for the support and presence of those who stood by the family during the solemn occasion.
His remarks highlight his commitment to respecting his father’s wishes, ensuring that the ceremony remained dignified and intimate, just as his father would have wanted.
