Spokesperson for the Bawumia campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has expressed optimism that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will prevail despite a victory prediction for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by Fitch Solutions.
Speaking on JoyNews Desk on Thursday, July 18, he emphasized that while the current state of the economy presents challenges, the NPP is committed to improving the economic conditions for Ghanaians.
Mr. Aboagye pointed out that inflation has dropped from around 54% to 23%, indicating economic progress.
He stressed that the NPP is actively campaigning and working to demonstrate its commitment to improving the country's economic situation.
“As we speak, we are in the five northern regions campaigning. Until we get to the polls and ballot in December, we believe that we have a responsibility to ensure that the Ghanaian voter has a reason to vote for us. That is what we are doing,” he said.
Fitch Solutions' forecast indicates that 54 percent of respondents favor the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate John Mahama. Mike Kruiniger of Fitch Solutions highlighted that economic factors would significantly influence voter decisions.
Despite these predictions, Miracles Aboagye remains hopeful and dedicated to the NPP's mission of proving their worth to the electorate.
