The Eastern Regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jeff Konadu, has attributed the achievements of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, to the government's efforts. Speaking to the media, he emphasized that the NPP has made significant improvements in the country's security landscape, and this accomplishment should be a key campaign message for the upcoming 2024 general election.

Jeff Konadu urged party members to refrain from associating the IGP with a particular political party and instead focus on highlighting the government's achievements. He stated, "if the government had not provided the necessary resources for the police, they would not have been able to achieve these results.

Therefore, we should appreciate and leverage what Dampare is accomplishing instead of creating divisions by labeling him as an NDC supporter. This will not assist us in winning the election."Mr. Konadu called for unity and collective efforts within the party to secure a resounding victory in the 2024 elections.
