Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and Mmember of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has visited his late mother's grave two years after her demise.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Honorable Dumelo knelt by the grave with a sad countenance, holding in his right hand some flowers to lay in memory of his late mother.
“Yesterday was 2 years since you left us. Continue to rest in perfect peace, my Antoinette Ama Ampomaa Dumelo. Love you, mummy," he wrote beneath his post on Instagram.
John Dumelo lost his mother on August 15 2023 who turned 71 in January 2023.
“My heart is broken. My dear mother passed away yesterday…my number one supporter. Heaven has gained an angel,” Dumelo announced at the time on his Facebook page.
Earlier this year, the actor, now politician grieved the death of his father, Engineer John William Kudzo Anato-Dumelo Snr., who passed away at the age of 75.
In a heartfelt post on social media, Dumelo shared the last moments he spent with his father, recalling their conversation just hours before his death.
He revealed that they talked about various topics, including politics, life, farming, and business. His father also gave him guidance for his upcoming swearing-in ceremony.
Sadly, just after their conversation, Dumelo received the heartbreaking news that his father had lost consciousness.
Despite attempts to get him to the hospital quickly, his father passed away.
Dumelo expressed gratitude to his father for being a pillar of support, calling him his “best friend” and “number one cheerleader.” He also paid tribute to his father’s legacy and sent heartfelt regards to his late mother.
Popular actress Roselyn Ngissah recently shared the sorrowful news of her mother, Elizabeth Ngissah, passing away. She described her mother as not only a cornerstone of her own life but also a guiding figure for many others.
In an emotional post on her social media, Roselyn reflected on her mother’s dedication to education.

Roselyn also fondly recalled her mother’s warmth and mentorship, which resonated with all who encountered her.
She highlighted how her mother’s kindness extended well beyond the classroom walls, touching the lives of friends, family, and even strangers.
Since the announcement, Roselyn has been receiving numerous condolence messages and heartfelt tributes from fans and celebrities alike, celebrating Elizabeth Ngissah’s life and remarkable contributions to her community.
Ghanaian actress and media figure Gloria Sarfo also took to social media to express her deep sorrow following a double tragedy.
In a poignant post on Instagram, she shared that today would have been her late mother’s birthday, while also grieving the unexpected passing of her close friend and sister, Little.

Fans, colleagues, and followers have since flooded her post with messages of support and condolences, offering prayers and encouragement during this difficult period.
Last year, sad news has struck the home of renowned highlife musician Kojo Antwi as he mourned the loss of his mother, Madam Mary Adwoa Nyamaa. She passed away on November 13, 2024, at the Mpraeso General Hospital in the Eastern Region.
The music legend confirmed his mother's passing in a statement. He also extended an invitation to the media, friends, fans, and well-wishers around the world to join his family in observing the fortieth day of her passing.
"This loss is felt deeply by the family, and we share this announcement with the general public, the media, and the music, culture, and tourism communities, as well as friends and fans worldwide.
A fortieth-day gathering will be scheduled, and all friends and sympathisers are invited to come and offer their condolences to the family," parts of the statement read.
