A traffic collision at the Anaji Choice Mart stretch on the Kansaworodu-Apollo junction dual road has left fourteen people injured.

The victims were swiftly transported to Kwesimintsim Government Hospital by three ambulances for urgent medical care.

The accident occurred around 8:00 pm on Friday, April 25, involving a commercial Toyota Regius with the registration number GW 4279 20 and a private Audi A4 saloon car with registration number GW 4575 11.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the Audi driver attempted to make a turn toward Anaji Choice Mart but collided with the Toyota Regius at the intersection.

All fourteen passengers, including the driver of the Toyota Regius, suffered injuries, and the vehicle’s windows, except for the one on the driver’s door, were shattered.

The Audi driver was the only one injured in the saloon car, while three children, believed to be under 12 years old, were unharmed. Both ends of the Audi were damaged in the collision.

The traffic light at the time of the crash was out due to a power outage, and eyewitnesses noted that “both drivers had nothing to guide them on the road.”

The Audi has been towed away, and the Toyota Regius was moved a few meters from the intersection.
