500,000 fake ballot papers have been discovered at the Kwadaso SDA in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, according to Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Special Aide to Ghana's former President.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) on December 7, 2024, the National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yamin, is seen standing with two others in front of a stack of brown-paper package boxes, with some ballot papers scattered on the floor in front of the boxes.
In the video, Mr. Yamin is heard speaking on the phone, explaining the discovery of the 500,000 ballot papers. He states that he has informed the police, who are reportedly on their way to the scene.

Ghana's 9th general election since becoming a democracy is nearing its conclusion, with voting closing as scheduled at most polling stations.
However, in some areas, such as Madina, voting was temporarily suspended due to heavy rainfall.
An extension of the closing time in affected polling stations is likely to accommodate voters who were unable to cast their ballots earlier.
Reports from the Ghana police suggest pockets of violence, with a case of fatality recorded in Nyankpala.
