Ghana’s Vice President, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, is set to receive further medical treatment abroad following a sudden health issue.
In a statement issued by the Presidency on Sunday, March 30, 2025, officials disclosed that she fell ill after work on Friday, March 28, and was initially treated at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Saturday.
Medical specialists have recommended additional care, necessitating her transfer to a facility outside the country for advanced treatment.
The statement, signed by Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, reaffirmed the government’s dedication to ensuring she receives the highest standard of medical attention.
It also conveyed well wishes for her swift recovery.
