According to Gerrald, the saga began when Stonebwoy and his team arrived at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel at 10:12 PM, which was about two hours before his scheduled performance from 12:15 AM to 1:00 AM.

The festival organizers notified them of a changed running order, resulting in an additional hour's delay, extending the waiting time for Stonebwoy to a frustrating four hours. Despite this unexpected delay, Stonebwoy patiently waited, while other artists such as KiDi, Efya, La Meme, and Joey B performed during the original time slot allocated for Stonebwoy.
