Arsenal's midfielder, Thomas Partey, is expected to resume full training with the team in October.
Last month, the Ghanaian international suffered a groin injury just before the international break, causing him to miss Arsenal's 3-1 Premier League victory over Manchester United and Ghana's matches against the Central African Republic (CAR) and Liberia.
Despite his absence, Ghana secured a spot in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), to be held in Ivory Coast next year, with a 2-1 win over CAR at the Baba Yara Stadium.
In an international friendly, Ghana also triumphed 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium under the guidance of Chris Hughton.
Partey remains optimistic about returning to play in October, but Arsenal will closely monitor his progress and won't rush his comeback.
Once he is fit, Partey is expected to rejoin Ghana's squad for international friendlies against the USA and Mexico scheduled for next month.
