Ghanaian media personality Afia Pokua, also known as Vim Lady, has shared her thoughts on Hopeson Adorye's recent comments following his release. Adorye had earlier boasted about gaining political mileage from his arrest, calling it a unique opportunity during a Facebook live session with his wife Empress Gifty. He described his arrest as a hidden blessing that brought him widespread attention worldwide.

However, Vim Lady disagreed with his perspective, pointing out potential negative repercussions for Adorye's family, especially his wife Empress Gifty, a gospel musician, and for the country as a whole. She urged Adorye to prioritize the safety of the nation and consider the emotional impact on his wife over any political gains he might perceive.

Despite some online support for Adorye's bold statements during the live video, Empress Gifty appealed for restraint, asking him not to escalate the situation. She emphasized the emotional toll such situations can take on families, particularly when one's partner lacks strength and faith.

In response to Adorye's intention to take action against his critics, Vim Lady echoed Empress Gifty's plea, highlighting the importance of listening to one's spouse's advice. She expressed her belief that the arrest, while unnecessary, had inadvertently boosted Adorye's political standing, potentially leading to further issues.

Adorye's arrest stemmed from allegations of using explosives in the Volta region to intimidate supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) before the 2016 elections, a tactic he claimed contributed to the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) victory. He faces charges of spreading false information and is currently out on bail.

Despite the arrest, Adorye remains defiant, attributing it to his departure from the NPP and alleging internal party elements are plotting against him.
