2 mins readA Nigerian actor and director, Charles Inojie, has expressed concern about the presence of what he refers to as an "army of Jezebel daughters" within the movie industry.Mr Inojie indicated that these individuals aim to entice directors and producers into offering them movie roles in exchange for sexual favors.

He shared these thoughts during the recent episode of 'The Honest Bunch Podcast,' where he was co-hosted by Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu.He emphasized that the issue of exchanging sex for roles in Nollywood is not limited to filmmakers alone; some actresses also actively engage in this practice to secure movie roles.

And when you meet a character who is not properly formed as the director or producer, he will fall. So, there are actresses like that. The issue of sex-for-role is not just one-way. It is a two-way thing.

“There is also an army of Jezebel daughters looking for directors and producers to fall … So, the level of desperation among some of these girls is also an issue.He further discussed the level of desperation among some individuals in the industry, referring to them as "an army of Jezebel daughters" seeking to influence directors and producers.

He emphasized that the vulnerability of certain filmmakers makes them susceptible to falling into such traps, especially those set by individuals with unstable backgrounds.“That’s why they are quick to fall into the booby traps set by a lot of producers and directors with characters that are not properly formed; people who came from very shaky backgrounds,” he added.
