According to the NDC flagbearer hopeful, the NDC despite being in power on two occasions has done little to improve on the welfare of its members especially these elders which he indicates is having a heavy toll on the party. You cannot have strong democracies without having strong political parties and you cannot have a good government without that culture being built in the party. So, I am going to lead the party and lead the country to be able to do this. Because one of the serious challenges confronting Africa is leadership failure.

There are a lot of things that we are doing that are wasteful and I believe as a President, I will definitely cut them off and re-focus on where I believe will better the lot of Ghanaians than some individualsâ€, he noted.
