Former President John Mahama who is also the flag bearer for the National Democratic Congress party NDC this afternoon shared beautiful pictures of his parents as today marks World Parents Day. The former President took to his Facebook profile showing how his parents helped him to become the man he is today.

According to him, without his parents, he wouldn't have been here as a former MP, former Vice President and former President. He would have been nobody with nothing, but his parents made sure to make him a man by giving him education and love.

John Mahama is seen by the world as one of the greatest speakers with various UN assignments and the former President has said he got all that talent from the teachings of his father.

The mother taught him patience, honesty, kindness, tolerance and humility. According to him, he had all these manners from his loving parents.

Social media users were quick to notice the former President's parents thereby throwing in various comments.

Some blessed the parents for giving Ghana a leader whiles others saw the chance to politicise their politics.
