appointed as the Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on January 18, 2025.

appointment follows the disbanding of the previous committee after Ghana's poor performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.As Chairman, Dr. Abbey will work closely with the government and other key stakeholders. Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, will
