Nana Araba Sekum, the reigning Queen of Ghana 2024, is poised to represent the country on the global stage at the prestigious Queen of the World Pageant in the United States.
Scheduled from May 6 to 10, 2025, at the Peter Norton Symphony Space Theater in New York, the international competition will bring together contestants from over 50 countries, celebrating beauty, culture, and social impact.
For Nana Araba, this opportunity extends beyond the competition. The second-year student at the University of Education, Winneba, sees it as a platform to inspire young girls in Ghana and beyond, proving that dreams are achievable with dedication and purpose.
Upon her return, she plans to launch a nationwide campaign under the Queen of Ghana pageant initiative, advocating for girls’ education and leadership development. Her goal is to empower young women to take up influential roles in governance and other fields.
Mrs. Araba Biesema Crentsil, founder and CEO of Queen of Ghana, emphasized the broader mission of the pageant—to train, equip, and empower women to become symbols of hope and resilience.
“We are calling on all stakeholders to rally behind Ghana as we compete for the 2025 crown in New York. We are confident that Nana Araba has what it takes to bring the title home,” she stated.
She assured that the Queen of Ghana team would provide the necessary emotional and physical support to ensure their representative is well-prepared.
“Our titleholder will be accompanied by a team of experts to help her make a significant impact on the international stage and put Ghana on the global map,” she added.
As an advocate for education and women’s empowerment, Nana Araba is determined to use her platform to effect positive change, proving that beauty is not just about appearance but also about purpose and influence.
