In a heartfelt Christmas message, the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Agortime-Ziope Constituency in the Volta Region, Charles Agbeve, passionately appealed to the people of Ghana to prioritize the promotion of peace as the nation approaches the crucial election year of 2024.
Recognizing the significance of maintaining a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere, especially in the realm of politics, Agbeve underscored the need for citizens, particularly those engaged in political activities, to center their campaigns on substantive issues.
He eloquently expressed that violence, rather than fostering lasting peace, only results in fleeting tranquility.
Quoting the profound words, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter," Agbeve emphasized the importance of addressing critical concerns and engaging in constructive dialogue.
The seasoned Legislator shared his aspirations for a Christmas season that transcends mere fleeting moments of joy, wishing instead for a lasting presence of peace and happiness in the hearts of his constituents.
Mr Agbeve extended his heartfelt message, aiming to instill a genuine spirit of the season that goes beyond festivities to embrace the values of unity, understanding, and a commitment to addressing pertinent issues in the coming year.
“May the joy of Christmas be more than a fleeting moment, but a lasting presence in their heart, bringing peace, happiness, and that true spirit of the season,” he added.
