A 27-year-old Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor, Patricia Nimako, was tragically shot and killed during a daylight robbery at Krofrom in Kumasi on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Eyewitnesses say the attack happened around 3 p.m., shortly after Patricia returned from the bank. Two armed men on a motorbike, posing as customers, approached her shop under the guise of making a withdrawal.
Without warning, they opened fire, shooting her twice before escaping with GH₵10,000 and her mobile phones.
Kwabena Owusu, a unit committee member and in-law of the deceased, recounted to Nhyira FM’s Kwadwo Obeng Mireku how they rushed to Patricia’s shop upon hearing gunshots, only to discover the devastating scene.
